Public Opening Reception celebrating the $5 million Burpee Student Center renovations

Rockford University’s Senior Thesis Art Exhibit will open Friday, May 8 at the Rockford University Art Gallery located in the Clark Arts Center at 5050 East State Street, Rockford.

Wednesday, April 29 marked Rockford University’s first ever Day of Giving and final results are in.

A variety of academic achievements from the 2014-2015 school year will be on display including senior seminar projects, undergraduate research, poems, short stories, artwork and performances.

Coach Bob Koopmann notched his 200th win during a doubleheader against University of Chicago on April 12.

The Rockford University Performing Arts Department will conclude its 2014-2015 theatre season with Shakespeare’s “Love’s Labour’s Lost.”

Science club Alpha Helix was awarded the 2015 Hutchcroft Youth Award for Environmental Excellence by Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful during an April 2 Earth Day Luncheon.

The Jane Addams Center for Civic Engagement (JACCE) at Rockford University recognized women leaders on the University’s campus with the Young Leader Award and Women’s History Month Recognition Award in a ceremony held March 31.

Philip Soosloff, Professor of art at Rockford University, will present the ‘Last Lecture’ on April 23, 7 p.m. in the Rockford University Art Gallery, Clark Arts Center, 5050 E. State St., Rockford. The lecture is part of the spring Forum series at the University.

The 4th Annual Sport Studies Symposium will take place on April 24, 2015 from 1 – 5 p.m., in the Severson Auditorium, located in Scarborough Hall.
