The Rock Solid Regent for the week of April 4 is freshman Hanqing (Tracy) Wang. Tracy is a political science major from Jiangsu, China. She was nominated by Maria Diemer, Assistant Director of the Office of Global Affairs.

The RU Department of Economics, Business and Accounting (EBA) will host its 8th annual business luncheon, featuring the keynote speaker Peter Provenzano, president and chief executive officer of SupplyCore Inc.

International students at Rockford University will prepare a wide variety of international dishes for the University’s 11th annual International Food Festival, Saturday, April 16 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Four local students are first to be awarded full tuition through the Rockford Promise initiaitve.

Morgan Bell, from Rockford, Illinois is the Rock Solid Regent for the week of March 21. Morgan is a junior criminal justice and psychology major. She was nominated by Stacy Simms, Assistant Director of SAS.

An open house highlighting the various graduate programs and adult accelerated degree program will be held April 6 in the PURI Business School.

‘Dust Archive’ will open March 17 at the Rockford University Art Gallery and will feature the work of artist Bradley Cahill. The exhibit will close April 15.

Freshman Lewis Bochette is the Rock Solid Regent for the week of March 14. Lewis is a nursing major from Harvard, Illinois.

Two final events to help support students’ trip to the Fringe Festival will preview Edinburgh performances.

One of only four small college’s in the nation, RU’s Performing Arts students have received a special invitation to attend the largest international arts festival in the world this summer in Edinburgh, Scotland.
