Rockford University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for our Student Support Programming Department begin for the Fall Semester, 2026.
The Graduate Assistant in this position gives innovative support services and resources to promote student success and college completion at the University. They also support the delivery of SSP programs and initiatives, including recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising Peer Mentors and Peer Assisted Student Support staff.
This role works directly with students to strengthen academic success skills such as time management, note-taking, organization, and study strategies. The GA collaborates with the Dean of Student Support Programming to enhance services that improve retention and graduation rates, with a focus on first-generation and underserved student populations.
Graduate Assistants are required to work 30 to 40 hours per week and be available to participate in summer retreat events, evening activities, and social outings as needed.
Graduate Assistant will receive room and board, a monthly stipend and up to 21 hours of tuition remission per academic year.
