Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance, Visiting

The Puri School of Business at Rockford University is seeking qualified candidates for a fulltime, visiting position in Finance. Our programs include traditional and accelerated bachelor and MBA programs. The successful candidate will have a primary teaching responsibility in finance and economics among our day and evening classes. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester, starting Fall 2024.

Your role as a finance and economics faculty member in the Puri School of Business is to empower our graduates to accomplish anything. Preference will be given to candidates with the appropriate terminal degree (e.g. Ph.D., DBA, ABD), a record of successful teaching, and relevant business experience. Preferred skills include experience with Bloomberg, economics, data analytics, associated certificates, and utilization in courses. Recent college-level teaching experience is highly desirable. The successful applicant must have an educational philosophy compatible with that of a private, independent institution with a liberal arts environment.  

We are looking for candidates with outstanding teaching skills, interest in advising traditional and non-traditional students from globally diverse populations. The ideal candidate will be willing to direct internships, and willing to become actively involved in the Rockford area community. If you have the ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, have an interest in online teaching, and would like to explore the opportunity to write and publish in professional or academic journals, you are encouraged to apply.
