Adjunct Instructor, Project Management

Rockford University is seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach BSAD 346 – Modern Project Management in the Spring 2026 semester, in person. If you are passionate about project management and enjoy sharing your expertise with future business leaders, we invite you to apply.

Course Overview:
BSAD 346 – Modern Project Management
This course provides a practical introduction to managerial and technical skills required to plan and execute projects successfully. Students explore projects’ strategic, process, structural, and cultural roles in modern organizations. Technical topics include predictive (Waterfall) and adaptive (Agile) project management approaches, planning, requirements, scope, WBS, network diagrams, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate class discussions in an in-person format.
  • Teach both strategic and technical aspects of modern project management, incorporating real-world applications.
  • Assign homework, projects, and case studies to reinforce concepts.
  • Offer additional help outside of class to support student success.
  • Administer exams and evaluate student performance.
  • Complete grading and administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field (required).
  • PMP® certification (required).
  • Professional experience in project management (minimum 3 years preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience at the college level (preferred).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and learning technologies.
