Lang Center for Health, Wellness, Counseling and Disability Services

The mission of Lang Center is to create a safe and supportive environment to meet the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of the Rockford University community. Differences in ability are valued as an integral component of a diverse community. Disability Support Services (DSS) facilitates an accessible educational experience for students who have disabilities and serves as a resource to all members of the campus community.

We are located north of (behind) Howard Colman Library and west (left) of Cummings Complex, with the entrance door on the southeast corner of the building off of parking lot D.

Sally Ann Roberts, LCSW – Director of Counseling Services
Sally Ann Roberts received her MSW from Washington University in St. Louis and is experienced in hypnotherapy, energy work, psycho-synthesis, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. It is Sally's belief that each person who comes into her office for a session is, in essence, seeking to learn how to live the life they've been given with openness and authenticity, despite the difficulties he or she is encountering. In fact, obstacles to what is expected (if viewed in the correct light) can often be the most valuable lesson one can receive in learning how to be true to oneself.

Patty Schneider, RN, BSN – Nurse
Patty received her BSN from NIU in 1989, and worked for 15 years on the Adult Medical/Oncology Unit at Swedish American Hospital. Patty enjoys assisting, educating and empowering students to make healthy choices. She believes that these choices directly impact their future health and vitality.
