Mercyhealth to serve as the exclusive sports medicine provider for Rockford University athletics

the 2019-2020 academic year, this new five-year agreement establishes Mercyhealth as the exclusive sports medicine provided for all Rockford University athletic programs and student-athletes.

As the exclusive sports medicine provider, Mercyhealth will provide a dedicated Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) to further supplement Rockford University’s full-time Head Athletic Trainer Holli Hall, MS, LAT, ATC in providing preventative care, injury assessment, emergency care and rehabilitation. The partnership also includes ongoing CPR certification training for all coaching staff, student-athlete sport physicals and team physicians.

According to Javon Bea, president and CEO of Mercyhealth, this new partnership continues a long tradition of caring for athletes in the communities they serve. Rockford University President Dr. Eric Fulcomer adds, “We believe that this new partnership with Mercyhealth serves as an excellent example of how we can collaborate with an important organization to work toward a common goal of providing outstanding service and care.”
