Rockford University invites applications for part-time instructors of face-to-face sections of first-year composition in the Department of English, to begin teaching in Fall 2026. We also seek qualified instructors for a pool of part-time faculty to be called on when future staffing needs arise.

Requirements: Ph.D., A.B.D., or M.A., preferably in rhetoric and composition, and minimum two years’ experience teaching college-level writing at regionally accredited institutions of Higher Education. We are especially interested in candidates who are dedicated to issues of linguistic justice and candidates with experience teaching first-year writing to developing writers.
