International Orientation
During International Student Orientation Week, programs are held to prepare students for classes that begin the following week. These programs cover many areas including:
(All international students are REQUIRED to attend orientation. This includes students transferring from another U.S. school.)
- Academic advising
- Math and reading placement testing (undergraduates)
- Class registration
- Immigration and visa workshop
- Housing orientation
- Employment information workshop
- Social Security Number application (necessary for employment)
- Campus tour
- Library tour
- Financial Aid workshop
- Information on student government and student activities
- Banking information
- Campus telecommunications program
- City transportation
- Health and immunization information
