During
International Student Orientation Week, programs are held to prepare students for classes that begin the following week. These programs cover many areas including:
 
(All international students are REQUIRED to attend orientation. This includes students transferring from another U.S. school.)
  • Academic advising
  • Math and reading placement testing (undergraduates)
  • Class registration
  • Immigration and visa workshop
  • Housing orientation
  • Employment information workshop
  • Social Security Number application (necessary for employment)
  • Campus tour
  • Library tour
  • Financial Aid workshop
  • Information on student government and student activities
  • Banking information
  • Campus telecommunications program
  • City transportation
  • Health and immunization information
