The 2015-2016 Rockford University academic year will formally begin with the President’s Opening Convocation on Friday, August 21, at 12 p.m., Maddox Theatre in the Rockford University Clark Arts Center.

Former president of Rockford College, John A. Howard, passed away peacefully August 7, 2015, just three days shy of his 94th birthday.

Michael Houselog, Ed.D., has been named as Director of Graduate Programs in Education at Rockford University. Dr. Houselog will assume his duties on Monday, August 17, 2015.

Over the summer, the US Treasury is soliciting input to help decide which American woman should be featured on the new $10 bill. Alumna and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jane Addams definitely fits the bill.

Belinda Wholeben, Ed.D., will serve as the interim vice president of academic affairs and provost at Rockford University, filling the position formerly held by Steven F. Siconolfi, Ph.D., FACSM.
