Hit musicals “Forever Plaid” and “Nunsense” open this week at RU and directed by special guest alumni director Kyle Donahue’03 and Professor Timm Adams.

The Lincoln Academy of Illinois will honor the top college and university students in the state during a ceremony on Saturday, November 12 in Springfield. Ivy Hood, from Roscoe, Ill., will receive this year’s honor for Rockford University.

The Rockford Public Library is hosting a book discussion with authors Drs. Mary Weaks-Baxter, Catherine Forslund and Christine Bruun on Tuesday, Nov. 15.

Marian is a freshman mathematics major. She was nominated by Dr. Deepshikha Shukla, Assistant Professor of Physics. She is from Madrid, Spain and will be studying at RU for one year.

The next Future Regent Visit Day will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 11:30 – 3:30 on the Rockford University campus, 5050 East State Street, Rockford.

Rockford University will inaugurate Eric W. Fulcomer, Ph.D., as its 18th President on Friday, November 4 at 2 p.m., in the Maddox Theatre, Clark Arts Center, on the Rockford University campus, 5050 East State Street, Rockford, Ill.

Mercedes Boykin from Belvidere, Illinois is our ROCK SOLID REGENT for the week! Mercedes is a senior with a double major in sociology and psychology.

Elisha is a junior musical theater major. She was nominated by Maria Diemer, Assistant Director of Global Affairs.

The public is welcome to attend a forum discussing the shortage of clean water worldwide and Rockford’s solutions hosted by the AAUW and moderated by RU’s Dr. Troy Skwor.

The Third Annual Rockford City Dance Festival is Oct. 14-15 and presented by the Performing Arts Department and the Friends of the Performing arts at Rockford University.
