The Puri School of Business at Rockford University is seeking qualified candidates for a fulltime, tenure-track position in Business beginning Fall 2018. Our programs include traditional and accelerated Bachelor and MBA programs. The successful candidate will have a primary teaching responsibility in general business among our day and evening classes. The normal teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester.

We are looking for candidates with outstanding teaching skills, interest in advising traditional and non-traditional students from globally diverse populations. The ideal candidate will be willing to direct internships, and willing to become actively involved in the Rockford area community. Rockford University invites candidates for a tenure track position in the Early Childhood Education Program. The successful candidate with teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the program including evening courses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain Early Childhood Education Program goals and standards that provide the basis for program planning, implementation, evaluation and support
• Teach a full-time load of classes in the Early Childhood Education Program
• Assist in maintaining and coordinating program approval through ISBE and Gateways, as well as academic accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission
• Work as part of the Education Department with the guidance of the Chair to coordinate and manage curriculum, courses, texts, and standard assessments
• Coordinate instruction and clinical experiences in accordance with the Early Childhood Education standards as well as the Gateways Early Care and Education and Infant/Toddler credential standards
• Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in working with faculty, staff, and students with diverse backgrounds including academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation, and disabilities

Education and Experience:
• Five years of experience in a variety of early childhood settings
• Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred
• Early childhood education teaching credentials required
• Additional PK and/or early elementary special education teaching credential preferred
• College-level teaching experience preferred

Qualifications:
• Evidence of strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstration of teaching effectiveness
• Understanding of diverse populations
• Evidence of scholarly abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively

Physical Demands:
• Ability to travel to off-campus sites for supervision of teacher candidates
