About Us
Rockford University started it’s esports program in the Fall of 2019. We compete in the NECC, MidWest R6 and CFGC. We currently have competitive teams in Overwatch 2, Rainbow 6: Siege X, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter 6 and Guilty Gear: Strive. Teams we are looking to develop are Valorant and Marvel Rivals.
The Zelenka Family Esports Center in located on the first floor of the Burpee Student Center. We have a main competition area with 11 PCs, a practice center with 5 PCs, an 85 inch touch screen TV for VOD review/analytics and a console area with three 65 inch TVs that each have an Xbox Series X console, a PlayStation 5 console and a Nintendo Switch console.
