About/Bio Kyle Stedman teaches first-year composition, multimodal composition, professional writing, soundwriting, and creative nonfiction in the Rockford University English Department. He also directs the Writing Center and has served as Secretary and Vice-Chair of the faculty.
Nationally, he’s an active member of the Sound Studies & Writing Collective and the Intellectual Property Standing Group at the Conference on College Composition and Communication and a regular presenter at Computers and Writing. His scholarship centers on the rhetoric of sound and music, remix, fan studies, and pedagogy. He's most proud of his scholarly and creative work with audio production, including a co-written textbook and three co-edited collections on soundwriting pedagogy.
