Coach Lacey was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. He is the father of Torian (3) and Titan (1). Raised by June Jones with his 3 brothers Anthony, Tre’Von and Nurell. He attended Hyde Park High School and CICS Longwood High School. Played 4 years of basketball at Trinity Christian where he received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. He then played 1 season at Rockford University due to COVID.
At Rockford, he completed his Master’s degree where he also served as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s basketball program. Immediately following that, he was awarded the Head Assistant job here at RU. In his spare time, Coach Lacey likes spending time with his children and family, coaching youth basketball, and watching his favorite TV shows.
