About/Bio Andrea Kilroy is a Rockford native who joined Rockford University in the Fall of 2025. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2010 and completed her master’s degree at Western Governors University in 2015 with a concentration in nursing education. Andrea Kilroy has worked in the areas of medical-surgical, labor and delivery and maternal newborn nursing. She holds specialty certifications in Maternal Newborn Nursing as well as Childbirth Education. She also held the role of simulation coordinator at her previous college. She has had her work "Interactive Learning Strategies: Enchanting Student Success in Maternal/Newborn Nursing" published by Nurse Educator in 2018. Professor Kilroy is a member of AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses), NLN, Lamaze international and Sigma Theta Tau.
