About/Bio After completing my Bachelor's at Roosevelt University, I began working in the Anesthesiology Department at the University of Illinois Hospital at UIC. After applying and being accepted to the Creative Writing Program at UIC, I was offered a teaching assistance ship in Freshmen Composition. I also applied for and was hired as the Assistant to the Head of the English Department. I completed my Masters in two years, and applied for the position as Assistant Director of the Jewish Studies Department due to my background in Jewish Studies, Israel Studies and Hebrew. When the Jewish Studies Program was rolled into the School for Cultural Studies, I moved to the College of Education where I worked for two years while completing a Masters in Applied Linguistics for T.E.S.O.L. I retired from UIC in 2016 and have worked at Rockford University as a rhetoric instructor in the English Department and as an Academic Coach in the Student Service Programming Department until today.
