Search All Resources

Search All Resources
Search across (almost) all of the content that the library owns, from books in the library to article databases, online encyclopedias, and streaming video.

Library Catalog
Search for books, videos, and CDs owned by Howard Colman Library. You can also expand your search to Northern Illinois public libraries in our consortium, PrairieCat.

Search the collections of libraries worldwide. Most useful to find and request items that the library does not own. Look for the “Request Item” link and we can usually get it to you within about a week.

The best way to search for e-books is by searching in All Resources and selecting E-Books as the Source Type.

Databases A-Z

Databases by Subject

To check access to an online journal, search by the title of the periodical in Full Text Finder

To check print holdings for a journal, search the library catalog.

Streaming Video

The library has access to streaming video in nine subject areas.

Digitized Yearbooks

In addition to holding print copies of the University’s yearbooks, the library also makes available digitized copies of yearbooks from 1908 to 1993 on the Internet Archive.
