TEACHER EDUCATION

Students interested in becoming licensed to teach physical education at the elementary, middle or high school level must complete all the Rockford University requirements, physical education core requirements, a minor in secondary education, and additional general education requirements toward a Professional Educator’s License (PEL).

In addition, to receive a Professional Educator’s License (PEL) in Illinois, students must students must pass the Content test and the the Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA) as required by the state of Illinois.
