My favorite place on campus

The Clark Arts Center! It is home to Rockford University's Department of Performing Arts and the Art Department.

What I do at Rockford University:

I am the Assistant Director of the Office of Global Affairs, an academic advisor & a First Year Seminar professor. I love working with my students.

I love working at RU because it’s so student centered and working with international students makes me feel like I get to travel the world from my office!

What have I learned from Rockford University?

Here's a fun fact about Rockford:

Rockford is home to the Rockford Peaches one of the AAGPBL baseball teams. They were part of the league all the years it existed from 1943-1954.

Where are you from?

I was born in Park Ridge, IL, however I have lived in Rockford since 2004. My family immigrated to the United States in the 90's from Mexico.

Where did you go to school?

I attended Rockford University for my B.A in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from 2018-2022.

Advice for a new student.

I strongly advise new students to not compare themselves to others during their academic career and take everything day by day.

Why Rockford University?

RU is my home far away from it. I love being here and being part of this big family.

Why did you come to Rockford Univeristy?

I decided to come to RU because it provided the best environment to develop myself not only in the classroom and in the basketball court, but as a human being.

What is your favorite thing about RU?

The fact that I had the opportunity to connect and learn with people from all over the world, while I pursued my degree and play college basketball.
