About/Bio Professor Malina Campos joined Rockford University's Nursing Department in May 2025 as the Chair and Assistant Professor. She began her nursing journey in 2010, graduating from Ambria College of Nursing's LPN program. In 2013, she graduated from Chamberlain University with a BSN. In 2019, she earned an MSN from Chamberlain University and is also certified as a family nurse practitioner. As a nurse, she gained experience in a variety of settings including long-term care, sub-acute units, and pediatrics. As a nurse practitioner, she has practiced in internal medicine and pediatrics. With a passion for teaching, she found her way to nursing education in 2016 and can teach taught a variety of nursing courses, including nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, and pediatrics. She loves working with faculty and students and finds great joy in helping guide future nurses and the future of health care. In her spare time, you can find her chasing after her children or curled up with a good book.
