Modern Language Placement Exam Information:

• Testing schedule is listed on the Spring 2025 Modern Language Exam Placement Testing Schedule.
• Testing will be held in the Colman Library, Main Floor. Check-in will be at the Circulation Desk.
• Each student is required to adhere to The HUB: Coaching & Testing Services Rules for Testing Success and the RU Code of Academic Integrity.
• On the day of testing, each test taker must present at least one current, valid form of identification that includes the test taker’s name and a recognizable photograph. Acceptable forms of identification include current and valid: driver’s license, state-approved or federal ID, Rockford University ID, or Passport.
• Policy for “No Show” Testers: A tester who does NOT show up two (2) consecutive times will NOT be allowed to take any tests through The HUB:  Coaching & Testing Services until they meet with the Library & Learning Success Specialist or the Academic Success Coordinator. “No Shows” demonstrate disrespect for fellow testers and devalue the proctor’s time.
• Use of electronic devices of any kind are prohibited including during examination breaks. Devices include but are not limited to, cell phones, digital or smart watches, fitness bands, and any other device with recording, internet, or communication capabilities. All devices must be powered off and securely stored in  The HUB: Coaching & Testing Services Locker. If a student is found with any unapproved items after testing begins, the testing session will be terminated immediately.
• Personal items of any kind, including but not limited to purses, computer bags, backpacks, and duffle bags are prohibited in testing spaces. All items must be stored securely in a HUB: Coaching & Testing Services Locker.
• Apparel, including jackets, hoodies, sweaters with pockets and/or hoods, coats, hats, and sunglasses are not permitted in the testing environment and must be placed in a HUB: Coaching & Testing Services Locker. Discretionary allowances may be made for religious apparel. All apparel is subject to inspection by the proctor.
• Once all pieces of information are received a testing confirmation email will be sent to you listing the time and date of your exam, and the directions to the testing location.
• **IF you have extenuating circumstances and do NOT see a date that aligns with your schedule, please reach out to The HUB:  Testing Services at HUBExams@rockford.edu .  We will work with you to find a date that works for all.

  DROP-IN TESTING – MODERN LANGUAGE EXAMS

  • If you have not been able to align a date that works with your schedule from our current testing dates, please be aware we have Drop-In Testing available to MODERN LANGUAGE placement testers only Tuesdays @ 9 a.m. and Thursdays @ 3 p.m.
  • This is done on a first come, first served basis because of our testing space availability. Please recognize, Accommodation Testing takes priority.

  Allow for at least an hour and a half (90 minutes).  This time includes the onboarding and testing time.
  
  **YOU WILL NEED:

  A PHOTO ID READY FOR CHECK-IN.

  BE FAMILIAR WITH THE TESTING RULES TO ENSURE YOU ARE PREPARED TO ENTER THE TESTING SITE.
