Rockford University invites applicants for a one-semester (Spring 2020) visiting position in biology. The successful candidate will teach a combination of the second semester of a two-semester introductory major’s biology sequence and the second semester of a two-semester upper level human anatomy and physiology. Both courses include lecture and lab for a total of 12 teaching hours. Enthusiasm for effective teaching in a small-college liberal arts setting is essential.
The position will be offered at the Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor level and the semester runs from Jan 21 to May 17. Minimum qualifications for appointment are a Master’s degree or PhD in biology or a related field and demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Candidates that are ABD will be considered. Applications will be reviewed starting immediately, and will be accepted until the position is filled.
