DESCRIPTION:Bern Sundstedt `77\, Senior Project Specialist\, will perform and discuss the “The Evils of Tobacco\,” a serio-comedy-monologue written by Anton Chekhov in 1886 as translated by Michael Frayn. The play is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH\, INC. Mr. Sundstedt appears through the courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association\, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers. Following the presentation there will be a celebratory reception in the lobby of Clark Arts in honor of the entire Brown Bag Series and its presenters. Clark Arts is accessible.  \nThe performance and short discussion following is part of the University’s Brown Bag Series\, a semester-long slate of presentations offered by faculty and staff of the University that feature topics of special interest to the presenters in order to spark the curiosity of others and drive conversation. \nAll Faculty\, staff\, students\, and members of the RU campus and Rockford community are welcome to attend. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for Dr. Marilen Loyola’s Spanish 319 class production of NN12 (Jane Doe No. 12) by Spanish playwright Gracia Morales. We will have two shows\, both in Severson Auditorium\, Scarborough Hall\, on Thursday (Nov. 30) and Friday (Dec. 1) at 7 p.m. The play is in Spanish but a synopsis of each scene in English will be included in the program.
