About/Bio:

Marilén Loyola specializes in contemporary theater in Spain. Her current research is focused on Holocaust Theater and the Theater of Memory. She recently organized the visit of Emeritus Professor Robert Skloot from the University of Wisconsin-Madison to Rockford University’s campus, and during his visit he met with her transatlantic theater students as well as those from the Antigone course taught by Professors Bartlett and Quinn during the spring 2016 semester, before presenting a public lecture on Holocaust Theater. Professor Loyola recently traveled abroad to present a paper on Holocaust Theater in Spain at the II International Conference on XXI Century Hispanic Theater held at the University of Strasbourg in France. She will also be taking students abroad to Spain.
