About/Bio
Professor Kimberley Devine joined the Rockford University faculty in August 2014. After working in the accounting field and while raising her young children, she graduated with her degree from Rock Valley College in 2001 and began her nursing career. Professor Hartwig always had a passion for teaching and went back to school and completed her BSN from Olivet Nazarene University in 2007 and her Masters of Science in Nursing Education in 2011.

Since joining Rockford University, she has taught Family Health, Adult Health, Pediatrics, and clinicals for Community Health. She enjoys Simulation and is the co-administrator for the RU Nursing Simulation Lab. Professor Hartwig also is the faculty administrator for the Nursing Student Organization and the Pinning Ceremony, and the co-chair of the department’s Curriculum and Assessment Committee.

Professor Hartwig spent her nursing career in the Women’s and Children’s arena and is a Certified Registered Nurse in the field of Maternal-Newborn Nursing. She is a member of AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses) and also Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing, and the Stateline Nurses Network.
