INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR
Rockford, Ill., — International students at Rockford University prepared a wide variety of dishes for the University’s annual International Food Festival, Saturday, April 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. Doors opened at 4:30 p.m. and dinner was served in the cafeteria at 5 pm, 2nd floor, Burpee Center on the Rockford University Campus located at 5050 East State Street, Rockford.
Sponsored by Rockford University’s Multicultural Club and the Office of Global Affairs, the International Food Festival featured authentic recipes from over 33 countries like Denmark, Netherlands, Japan, China, Sweden, Turkey, Syria, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, Ivory Coast, Vietnam, Mexico and France. Members from the Multicultural Club prepared foods so that visitors could taste home cooked meals from their countries. International entertainment was also planned so that guests can enjoy traditional song and dance. Rockford University is currently home to more than 112 international students representing 23 countries.
