Center for Learning Strategies Coordinator

Rockford University Center for Learning Strategies is accepting applications for the position of Coordinator.  The Coordinator of the RUCLS provides office and program support to campus CLS participants. The Coordinator will be responsible for the administration and coordination of day to day activity for the CLS department.  This is a year-round position working 30 hours per week.  Effectively administer and manage the daily operation of CLS.
 Manage bill collection and accounts receivable.
 Schedule and supervise peer tutors.
 Schedule professional tutors and approve Timeforce payroll system.
 Collect accurate data related to CLS programs and services.
 Prepare written reports for CLS.
 Administer ACT Residual, placement exams, and other proctored exams.
 Assist with scheduling CLS Test Proctors.
 Ensure that CLS provides a secure and appropriate testing environment.
 Order, prepare and secure all test materials for proctored exams. Also, score ACT Residual exam in a timely manner and report results to Admissions Department.

 Mange the day to day operations of the office including:
                        supervising student assistants
                        scheduling peer tutoring services
                        scheduling professional tutoring services
                        supporting supplemental instruction services
                        maintain and organize confidential office files
                        assist in the coordination of meetings, registration of student exams, and generating departmental reports
                        scheduling of test and tutoring appointments and Director’s appointments.
 Develop a working relationship with Rockford University faculty, staff, and students to ensure access to CLS services and programs.
 Enforce CLS procedures and rules.
 Collaboration with the SI Coordinator to ensure seamless delivery of academic support services.
 Maintain consistent communication with supervisory staff.
 Other duties as assigned

 Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Equivalent demonstrated work experience may be
 High energy self-starter; must be able to take initiative with minimal guidance and be
comfortable working both as an individual and as part of a team.
 Office and program management experience.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
 Proficient with technology for portal page management and program publicity.
 Experience in higher education preferred.
 Knowledgeable in the areas of civic engagement, community service, service-learning,
student leadership and K-16 partnerships preferred.
 Strong personnel management skills.
 Strong communication skills.
 Skills in current technologies including database and website management.
 Detail oriented.
 Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities in working with faculty, staff and students
with diverse backgrounds including academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual
orientation, and disabilities.
