SUMMARY:Powerhouse Positive Guidance: Turning Around Behavior Struggles and Empowering Children with Competence for Success
DESCRIPTION:Revitalize daily interactions with children and families with research-based\, development-fostering strategies that boost language development\, strengthen social-emotional skills\, and increase self-directed behavior. Discover principles to assist children in managing emotions\, mediating stress\, and honoring the needs of themselves and others. Participants will explore action steps to prepare the setting\, materials\, activities\, and routines to minimize challenges and foster competence for success. This interactive session will present respectful\, relational resources to guide children’s behavior and respond to challenging behavior with new insight and effective skill. \nThe session is based on 101 Principles for Positive Guidance with Young Children: Creating Responsive Teachers. \nThis training is taught by: Dr. Marie L. Masterson\, co-author. \nContinuing Education Credits (2 Contact Hours) approved for:\nDCFS annual requirement\nGateways Credential Approved Training\nProfessional Educators License (PEL)
