Policies, Practices, Procedures – oh my! During the last course in the program, the instructor will identify the various policies required within a nonprofit organization (i.e. gift acceptance, investment, conflict of interest, whistleblower, etc.) and lead a discussion on the importance of each policy. The focus of the last three sessions will be on linking participants to a mentor within the local chapter of AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) and creating dialogue with various fund development professionals. This is a unique and valuable opportunity to discuss the “day-to-day” work topics you will encounter as a development professional, and also learn where to find fundraising resources you will need and want to access when you become a fund development professional.
This course occurs Tuesdays, November 1, 8, 15, 22, 2016. 4:30—7 p.m.
