Biology Lecturer

Rockford University invites applicants for a full time Lecturer position in Biology starting Fall 2020. The successful candidate will teach a combination of Anatomy and Physiology lecture and lab, along with other introductory courses. Enthusiasm for teaching in a small liberal arts university setting is essential.

Teaching load is a total of 15 contact hours per fall and spring semester, with occasional opportunities for summer teaching. The selected candidate will have full faculty voting rights and would attend department, college, and faculty meetings with no committee work expected. 3-year renewable appointment.

Required Qualifications:

The position will be offered at the Instructor level and will begin Fall 2020. Minimum qualifications for appointment are a Master’s degree or PhD in biology or a related field and demonstrated teaching effectiveness. Candidates that are ABD will be considered.
