Position Summary
Rockford University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for the Events & Scheduling Department to begin for the Fall Semester, 2026..  This position supports the planning, coordination, and execution of campus and external events while assisting with scheduling operations, client relations, and event management systems. This position serves as a key liaison between event clients and campus partners to ensure successful events and exceptional customer service.

The position requires a minimum of 25 hours per week (up to 40 hours as needed) over a 12-month period and includes evening and weekend responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly stipend of $200
• Up to 21 credit hours of tuition remission per academic year

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support campus and external events, including event setup, client communication, wedding coordination, and major University events.
• Manage event scheduling and administrative processes through Mazevo and other office systems, including reporting, recordkeeping, diagrams, and general office support.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Information Technology, Public Safety, and other campus departments to ensure successful event execution.
• Assist with external event marketing, client outreach, and business development efforts while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external constituents.

Qualifications

• Admitted to and maintaining enrollment in a Rockford University graduate program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management software such as Mazevo preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work evenings, weekends, and special events as required.
• Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, customer service, or office administration preferred.

Rockford University invites applications for part-time instructors of Biology in the Department of Chemical & Biological Sciences for Fall 2026. We are seeking a qualified instructor to teach the following classes:

• Upper-level Immunology, the in-person course is currently scheduled for Fall 2026 on MWF 2:00-2:50pm.
• General Biology Laboratory, the in-person lab is currently scheduled for Fall 2026 on Tuesday afternoons from 1:00-3:50pm.

Qualifications

The Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics (MCSP) Department at Rockford University invites applications for part-time instructor positions beginning in Fall 2026.

We are seeking qualified instructors to teach a variety of undergraduate mathematics service courses, including College Algebra, Math for Elementary School Teachers, and General Education Mathematics. Opportunities are also available to teach introductory Computer Science courses. In addition, we are seeking instructors for undergraduate and graduate-level Data Science courses.

Prior college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and enthusiasm for working with students in a small liberal arts university environment.

Qualifications

• For Mathematics service courses: A master’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field is required.
• For introductory Computer Science courses: A master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required.
• For undergraduate Data Science courses: A master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field is required.
• For graduate-level Data Science courses in the Master of Science in Data Science (MSDS) program: A Ph.D. in Data Science or a closely related field is required.

Mathematics, Data Science, and introductory Computer Science courses are taught in person on our Rockford campus, while graduate-level MSDS courses are delivered asynchronously online.
