Assistant Professor of Sociology, Tenure-track

Rockford University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Sociology and Criminal Justice tenure-track, to begin August 2020. Ph.D. in Sociology/Criminology or a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Public Policy and Administration, etc.) required by August, 2020. Candidate should have teaching experience beyond a teaching assistantship, preferably in a college setting. Applicants must be able to teach general sociology courses, including research methodology (qualitative and quantitative); sociological theory; and introduction to homeland security or other specialized criminal justice courses. Enthusiasm for, and a commitment to, teaching in a small-university liberal arts setting is essential.
