Rockford University invites applicants for a tenure-track Professor of Elementary Education, Assistant/Associate rank, to begin August 2020.
The department is especially interested in candidate with experience in ESL, bilingual, or Special Education settings. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Early Childhood and Elementary Licensure Programs, oversee scheduling and the curriculum of the programs, collaborate with pertinent stakeholders, and engage in student recruitment activities. Must carry an evening class load and attend meetings and events outside of normal working hours. Applicants must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses online and face-to-face. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction or a relevant field. Doctoral candidates with ABD status will be considered. Candidates who hold a current Professional Educator’s License or teaching certificate are preferred. Enthusiasm for teaching in a small-university liberal arts setting is essential. Five years of experience working directly with early childhood or elementary students required.
