Rockford University invites applicants for a tenure-track Professor of Education, Assistant/Associate rank, to begin August 2019. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Middle Grades, 9-12, and K-12 Licensure Programs, oversee scheduling and the curriculum of the programs, liaise with pertinent stakeholders, and engage in student recruitment activities. Must carry an evening class load and attend meetings and events outside of normal working hours. Applicants must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses online and face-to-face. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction or a relevant field. Doctoral candidates with ABD status will be considered. Candidates who hold a current Professional Educator’s License or teaching certificate are preferred. Enthusiasm for teaching in a small-university liberal arts setting is essential. Three years of experience working directly with K-12, middle grades and/or 9-12 students required.
The deadline for applications is December 8, 2018, although review of applications will begin on November 19, 2018.
