We have offerings for anyone spending the summer in Rockford.

Spend your summer furthering your education by earning college credits. Rockford College is offering a wide variety of courses ranging from anthropology to theatre arts and just about everything in between. Plus, the registration process for summer courses is streamlined, so there's not a lot of excess paper work.

Summer courses are offered at a discounted rate of $375 per credit hour.

Bachelor of Science in Management Studies (BSMS)

Adults looking to apply college credit toward a bachelor’s degree – without having to put an established career path on hold – are prime candidates for our Bachelor of Science in Management Studies program. This is designed for busy working adults who have or nearly have an associate’s degree and would like to take that education to the next level.

We won’t let you go it alone. Students with eligible credits will be set up with a cohort of 10 to 20 other adults. From that first course, you’ll move through the program together. Like you, your fellow students have unique, real-life experiences to share; learn from them as they will from you.

We realize that you’re busy and that you’re adults. Therefore, the program has a schedule designed to accommodate your needs. You’ll receive professional academic advising as well as advising on financial aid opportunities. Just remember, your on-campus professors are here to help.

After 18 to 24 months, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in
Management Studies.

Kobe-Regent's Center for Global Education

English as a Second Language Summer Program

The ESL program at Rockford College is offered through our Kobe-Regent’s Center for Global Education. The program provides 20 hours per week of intensive English Language instruction that includes grammar, writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills. It’s the only intensive English program in the area and has been providing exceptional instruction since 1987.

Sessions start every 4 weeks, year-round. Students range from 18 to 80 years of age and
come from around the world. The program also allows for participants to share their cultures with other students and the Rockford community. Outings and special projects are integrated into the overall learning experience. Bilingual instruction in Spanish is used as needed. ESL also specializes in English/culture programs for groups visiting the Rockford/Chicago area.
