Emerging
Leaders Program
In addressing
the need of building stronger leaders at Rockford College,
we developed a program that assists students in understanding
what leadership is, the ways one acts as a leader, and how
to gain the confidence needed to be a leader. The Emerging
Leaders Program is an 8-week course that is offered each
semester that is based on The Leadership Challenge
by Kouzes and Posner which focuses on five practices of
exemplary leadership. This program consists of a series
of activities, team building applications, and written reflections.
