<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Department</strong>: Career Services</p><p><strong>Reports To</strong>: Dean of Students</p><p><strong>FLSA Status:</strong> Exempt</p><p><strong>SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>The Director of Career Services provides guidance and resources to assist students and Rockford College alumni with their career planning and search process. The position is housed under the banner of Student Life and is responsible for providing students/alumni with career counseling, assistance with career exploration, internships and job support, and pursuing graduate/professional admission. <p><b>SUMMARY</b>:</p>
<p>Under general supervision, establishes and administers programs for targeting, recruitment, and retention of students. This employee helps to develop programs and marketing materials. Visits schools and makes presentations to groups and individuals.</p>
<p><b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </b>include the following:</p>

<li>Participates in the development of student recruitment and retention plans, strategies, and written materials. 
<li>Visits middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Speaks to groups and individual students, and meets with school counselors to promote outreach activities; coordinates community workshops and retreats; arranges visits from prospective students and parents. 
<li>Serves as a liaison to develop partnerships between the college and local school systems throughout the state. 
<li>Creates a database of prospective and current students and/or potential degree candidates in the state.

<li>Prepares reports and proposals, and responds to inquiries from students. 
<li>Participates in the development of operating goals and objectives for the department; recommends, implements, and administers methods and procedures to enhance operations. 
<li>Has responsibility for at least one special assignment as determined by the AVP. 
<li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

<p>Seeking a highly motivated, customer-service oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities. Position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to use sound judgment in stressful situations, and the ability to work both independently and as a team member. Position requires employees to maintain current certifications at all times in First Aid, CPR, and AED and NIMS for Higher Education certification. Position requires employees to maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record along with a clean criminal background at all times. Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software such as Word is required. Employee will be required to perform all the duties of a Full-time Safety &amp; Security Officer, but on a part-time basis.</p>
<p><br>General Responsibilities include maintaining building security, enforcing college policies and regulations, and responding to various types of emergencies. Specific Responsibilities include patroling campus; making regularly scheduled checks of buildings and grounds; parking and traffic control; responding to and investigating fire alarms, medical emergencies and other incidents; maintaining accurate reports. Safety &amp; Security Officers also provide security coverage for College athletic events and social functions. </p>

<p>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Have excellent verbal and written communication skills; commitment to exceptional customer service; High School diploma or the equivalent;some college coursework,&nbsp;valid driver's license; ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to do moderate physical activity; prior security experience preferred. </p>
<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: <br>Safety &amp; Security Officers may be required to perform the following physical requirements in the course of their normal duty shift: lift 50 Lbs.; run 100 meters; lift and bend; go up and down stairs; and be in good physical condition. </p>

<description><![CDATA[<p>The Cross Country and Track and Field Coach is a member of the Division of Enrollment Management and Intercollegiate Athletics, reporting to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.&nbsp; The primary emphases of this position are to coach, recruit, and support the mission of Rockford College. </p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>A.&nbsp; Functional/Coaching</strong></span></p><p>&nbsp;1. Coach men’s/women’s Cross Country and Track and Field (hire/supervise GA’s, recruit student athletes, develop schedules, attend conference meetings, etc.)</p><p>2.&nbsp;Establish goals for the four competencies of the program review process:Academics - player eligibility and graduation rates.Mission - realization of the values, mission, and goals established for athletics including support for orientation programs, students’ leadership development, and problem resolution.Enrollment -recruitment and retention goals.Competitiveness - conference performance and professional image. </p><p>3. The coach is expected to consult and use information from professional associations such as National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).</p><p>4. The coach is responsible for special tasks assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Vice President for Enrollment Management. The use of appropriate athletic and student development models and theories is necessary.&nbsp; Professional development and involvement is highly encouraged.</p><p>5.&nbsp;Responsible for attending monthly athletic staff meetings.</p><p>6.&nbsp;Responsible for attending any scheduled athletic retreats.</p><p>7. Assist with and take an active role in departmental fund-raising.</p><p>8.&nbsp;Organize one community service event with each sport programs.</p><p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;Attend, support and take an active role in programming within the Enrollment Management Division.</p><p>10. Attend staff development meetings held within our Enrollment Management Division.</p><p>11.
