Student Employment Description Position: Copy Center Coordinator
Report to: Pamela Ward
Hours: Mon-Fri, 3-5 PM.
Hourly rate: $8.25
Benefits: As a student employee, no benefits are available.
Required skills: Organized, efficient, courteous, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift fifty-seventy (50-70) pounds three (3) feet off the floor.
Job description: The Copy Center Coordinator will assist the Copy Center and Delivery Manager in delivering parcels on campus and to the United States Post Office, as well as other miscellaneous functions of the Copy Center, and fill in at Mail Desk when needed to take in mail, put in appropriate mail boxes and run mail through postal machine. Delivering parcels includes gathering all packages from package receiving room, signing delivery log and distributing them to their recipients throughout the campus buildings. This person will assist in the mass paper deliveries to the college, unloading and re-stacking cases of paper approximately 50-75lbs apiece. Mail is taken from the Mail Desk in Burpee to the United States Post Office on New Towne Road once a day after the Mail Desk has closed. Occasionally this person would need to drive to the Harrison post office for special mail shipments. The Copy Center Coordinator will be required to operate a Rockford College vehicle to deliver parcels and transport mail to the Post Office. The delivery of parcels requires sound judgment and proficient driving skills while operating a Rockford College vehicle both on campus and on public roads. This individual would have keys to Faculty offices, therefore being responsible and trustworthy is key to this position. The Copy Center Coordinator will also fill in the Copy Center when needed to assemble orders, including the operation of a cutting machine, the operation of a coil binding machine, and a shrink wrapping and laminating machine. Proper training is provided. Training on mail desk responsibilities and deliveries and locations will be provided. Please contact Pam Wars at firstname.lastname@example.org
