Rockford University Admissions: 815-226-4050

Transfer Tuesdays will begin on June 2 and continue throughout the summer. Students interested in transferring to Rockford University can stop by the University Admission Office any time on Tuesdays with their official transcripts and have all information reviewed for immediate admittance to Rockford University. The special Transfer Tuesday open houses also allow students who qualify to receive a scholarship upon admittance.

Students need only to have completed 12 credits at the college level to qualify for transfer status. However, students who have completed an Associate of Arts, an Associate of Science, or Bachelor’s degree from colleges accredited by regional accrediting associations as recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) will enter Rockford University with junior class standing. In addition, these degree holders will have met general education requirements for graduation through their Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. This means that in most cases, only one upper division general education requirement will be needed, a 300-level Rhetoric course.

Both traditional and accelerated adult degree completion program transfers will be included in Transfer Tuesdays. In order to be admitted and considered for scholarships, students must meet all admission and scholarship requirements.

Students from throughout the region are encouraged to inquire about transfer admission to Rockford University. Appointments recommended, walk-ins welcome. Call 815.226.4050 or e-mail The Admission Office is located in Nelson Hall, 5050 E. State Street, Rockford. Hours are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
