Jeremy Long: Personal Allegories art exhibit to open March 21 at Rockford University

Rockford, Ill. – Jeremy Long is an artist specializing in the Post Abstract Figurative movement in American painting. Born in Chicago, Ill., Long is currently Professor of Art at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. This exhibition, titled Personal Allegories, will feature several of Long’s newest large-scale figure paintings.
The exhibit opens Friday, March 21 with an artist lecture at 6 p.m., and a reception from 7-8:30 p.m. Personal Allegories will also be featured in Rockford’s spring ArtScene on Friday, April 11 from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 from 4-9 p.m. The gallery will close April 25.
The Rockford University art gallery is located in the Clark Arts Center at 5050 East State Street, Rockford. Gallery Hours are Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and by appointment.
