Rockford, Ill. – Presented by the Rockford University Performing Arts Department and written by English playwright Alan Ayckbourn, "Absurd Person Singular” promises to entertain theatergoers with a wickedly funny play about the changing tides of married life. Performances run Thursday, Nov. 14 – Sunday, Nov. 17 in Rockford University’s Maddox Theatre, Clark Arts Center, 5050 East State Street, Rockford. Show times are Thursday – Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Sunday - 2 p.m.
Set in three kitchens on three successive Christmas Eves, the play charts the relentless rise of the socially aspiring Hopcrofts at the expense of two other couples. Relationships will change, finances rise and fall, attempts at suicide, and biting, alcohol induced farce will keep the audience laughing throughout.
