Psychology Department assistants have four main areas of responsibilities. First, assistants provide support to Psychology faculty related to their teaching (e.g., library research, web searches, organizing files, and developing materials for classroom activities). Second, assistants help professors with their community projects and scholarly research (e.g., searching databases, reviewing literature, data entry, and making community outreach contacts). Third, assistants maintain books, materials, and displays in the Psychology reading room. Assistants also maintain collections of volunteer opportunities for students and information on graduate programs. Finally, assistants provide needed support in the Psychology Lab. Assistants monitor equipment, schedule research appointments, and tutor students needing assistance with their research projects. Needed skills are research and computer competencies (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Interested candidates should email Dr. Joel Lynch at to request an interview.  Please bring a copy of your work authorization card and student employment application to the interview.
