Rockford, Ill., – A new certificate program in Nonprofit Management will be offered this fall by Rockford University’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence. The program specifically addresses the changing demands on nonprofit leaders to enhance their management skills and operate more effectively by focusing five key essentials: nonprofit leadership and governance; marketing and communications; human resources; financial management; and fund development.
"Nonprofits that commit to building their management capacity are the sustainable, high-performers in the field,” states Pam Clark Reidenbach, Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence. Nonprofit capacity building refers to activities that improve and enhance a nonprofit organization’s ability to achieve its mission and sustain itself over time.
The Nonprofit Management program faculty includes well-known and successful practitioners in the nonprofit field including: Wray Howard, Angela Kay Larson, Sue Buckwalter, Jon Bates, and Kay Larrick.
The program is designed for new or aspiring CEOs, management level employees seeking to update their skills, board members wishing to serve in a more strategic advisory capacity, and individuals interested in transferring from the for-profit sector to the nonprofit world.
