Wasted Trees: The Poster Art of Screwball Press opens 10/26

Rockford, Ill., – An exhibition of fine art prints and posters will be on display at the Rockford College Art Gallery from October 26 - November 20, 2012. There will be a Screen Printing Demo and Artist Talk with Steve Walters, owner of Screwball Press, on Thursday, October 25 at 1 p.m. in the Printmaking Studio, lower level Clark Arts Center building and an Opening Reception on Friday, October 26 from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Art Gallery. There will be hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at the reception. The Rockford College Art Gallery is located in the Clark Arts Center building on Rockford College’s campus, 5050 East State Street, Rockford, Ill.
"Steve Walters, owner of Screwball Press in Chicago, has been making rock posters and prints since 1991. His full-service screen printing shop collaborates with artists, printmakers, musicians, and music venues to create compelling posters for the music industry. The exhibition "Wasted Trees: The Poster Art of Screwball Press, 1991-Present” will showcase a large selection of posters from the archives of Screwball Press”.
