Entrepreneurship Day for area high school students is April 19

Rockford, Ill. – Approximately 100 students from high schools in the Stateline area will visit Rockford College to attend Entrepreneurship Day, on Thursday, April 19, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the college’s Burpee Center, 5050 East State Street, Rockford.

Entrepreneurship Day events will include teachers from the College’s Business Department who will speak about what it takes to be an entrepreneur, as well as subjects such as Market Analysis, Marketing, Ethics, Business Planning and Strategy.

There will also be a panel of local entrepreneurs who will take questions from the students. The main highlight of Entrepreneurship Day will be an assignment for the students to develop a business plan. The best business plans among the schools will receive prizes.
