Academic based program offered for District 205 students affected by strike

In response to the pending strike by District 205 teachers, the Rockford College Learning Center (RCLC) will offer an academic program for students in grades K-6.
The Rockford College Learning Center is a service offering academic support to members of the community. Since being established in 1952, the Center has provided remedial and enrichment programs for more than 30,000 people from ages 4-72. The RCLC emphasizes quality teaching with a strong commitment to aid each student in attaining academic potential while directing the student towards independent learning and improved personal achievement.
Details of the elementary age program are as follows:
Location: Bethesda Covenant Church, 2101 East State Street
Grades: K-6th grade
Time: 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m
Students need to pack their own lunch/snacks.
Tuition: $20 per day per student.
Registration is required
The following subject areas will be incorporated over several days: Poetry, Writing, Spelling, Math, Reading, Science, Art
