ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford College women’s cross country team has been recognized by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and earned All-Academic Status for their outstanding efforts in the classroom this year. In order for a team to qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team needs to have a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.10 through the 2011 fall semester. This past year the Rockford College women’s cross country team had a cumulative team GPA of 3.14.
The Rockford College women’s cross country team was one of only 187 women’s cross country teams in all of Division III to earn All-Academic Status from the USTFCCCA for the 2011 season. The ladies were also one of only four schools to from the Northern Athletics Conference receive the honor.
