Rockford College Welcomes New Staff

Rockford, Ill., — Rockford College announces the following staffing additions:
Rebecca Factor, Director of English Language Institute: Ms. Factor joined Rockford College in 2011as the Admission Transfer Counselor for Rock Valley College. She began her duties as the Director of the English Language Institute in January, 2012. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Slippery Rock University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership both from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis. Originally from Johnstown, Pa., Ms. Factor has also lived and worked in Quito, Ecuador, Bangkok, Thailand, Tampico, Mexico, Minneapolis and Kamuela, Hawaii before moving to Rockford. She will oversee the English Language Institute, which offers a variety of programming to help students learn or improve their English language skills in order to transfer or begin studies at an American college or university, improve career opportunities, grow professionally and to fully experience a cultural exchange in the United States. Megan Wahl, joined the College in December, 2011 as an Admission Counselor. Ms. Wahl hails from Monticello, Wis., and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stout. Ms. Wahl comes to Rockford College with previous admission experience at The Art Institute of Phoenix and Lamson College. Her duties at the College will focus on assisting students from Rock Valley College transfer successfully into bachelor degree programs.
John McGreal, joined Rockford College in September 2011 as a First Year Admission Counselor. Mr. McGreal is originally from Addison, Ill., and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Francis in Joliet. His responsibilities are to guide first year students through the admission process from the first inquiry and continuing to the first day they are in attendance at Rockford. He travels to high schools and college fairs in Northwestern Illinois and Wisconsin and works with students applying from the Western United States. He also serves as the Student Life Liaison for the Admission Office.
Elizabeth (Izzy) Goodwin is the new Development Coordinator for Rockford College. Ms. Goodwin is a 2008 graduate of Drake University (Des Moines, Ia.) with a Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication. Prior to joining the College in December, Ms. Goodwin was the Community Relations Manager for Mosaic in Rockford. She is currently serving on the board of The Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a member of IGNITE Young Professionals. Ms. Goodwin will be responsible for managing the annual fund and development activities for the College.
