RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The men’s basketball team kept rolling last night in conference play with a 71-63 against the Dominican University Stars. However, it was not easy as the Regents got off to a slow start falling behind 7-0 just under 4 minutes into the game and trailed for the entire first half. Rockford struggled to find is rhythm in the first half shooting only 32.0% from the floor and consequently finding themselves down by as many as 12 points. A 17-9 run to close out the first half cut the Stars lead down to only 4 points at halftime. Rockford came out in the second half hitting on all cylinders. Just under 4 minutes into the second half the Regents took their first lead of the evening. Rockford shot an amazing 63% from the field in the second half and built its largest lead of the game to 11 points with 4:19 remaining in the second half.
